Does RIO Mentor control the aircraft?
No. RIO Mentor observes, interprets, and responds. It does not take control of the aircraft or act on your behalf.
Do I need to be a DCS expert?
No. It is designed especially for people learning DCS or getting started with a new module.
What information can it understand?
It can check aircraft state, the mission, fuel, weapons, contacts, position, recent events, and other available environmental data.
Do I need a HOTAS?
No. You can interact with RIO Mentor using voice and keyboard. A HOTAS can make the experience more comfortable, but it is not required.
Does it work with SRS?
Yes. You can hear responses through your PC speakers or transmit them over the radio through SRS.
Do I need to install many tools?
The experience is designed around a guided Windows installer. Exact requirements are shown before you begin.
Can I try it without DCS open?
The trial version includes a way to simulate telemetry so you can validate the installation before entering a mission.
